Den Arkæologiske Studenterforening Ottar (The Archaeological Student Society Ottar) was founded in 2016, when the two student societies Hikuin and Sidah were merged. This followed the merging of the programmes for Prehistoric Archaeology and Middle Ages and Renaissance Archaeology.

The society currently consists of about 60 active members.

Ottar is situated at Campus Moesgaard, which is in the southern part of Aarhus. From here we arrange social and subject-relevant events for our members.
